Why part-time, and why startups
Large companies taught me process. At Uber I kept employee records accurate for more than 8,000 people and cleared 220+ lifecycle tickets a month, 96% within SLA. At HCAH I ran a monthly payroll for 550+ people without a single statutory penalty. At Forvis Mazars I was the HR generalist for 350 people across three offices, from a new joiner's first day to a leaver's last.
A startup of 10 people needs the same care with none of the overhead. It needs this work every week, but not 40 hours of it, and it rarely has anyone whose job it is. So the founder does it at night. I offer the work part-time instead, on fixed monthly packages, with the process written down from the first week.
My experience so far is in large organizations. The samples show exactly how I run onboarding and offboarding for a small team, before you commit to anything.
